From Zero to Hero 💯 — Forró in Berlin grew over 20 years into one of Europe’s largest scenes! Now, Berlin hosts two major festivals, multiple weekly socials, local bands, and a thriving community. Starting in 2003, the scene took off in 2007 with the launch of a weekly social by Melanie and Lukas, leading to steady growth. Berlin’s cultural appeal drew more Forró artists, adding diversity and vibrancy. Patience and passion made this possible. 🇬🇧 After the first successful months offering Portuguese classes to forrozeir@s from all over the world, we are happy to announce we have a new teacher collaborating in FoFed! Julie Caldas is a Brazilian experienced Portuguese teacher for English and Spanish speakers, now living (and dancing) in Spain.
